Good Neighbor can be built with tight gaps for more privacy, they allow the wind to pass through and provide the same look on both sides of the fence, because of the gaps they are not wind proof and can allow grass to grow in-between them. Not as common is the the double good neighbor using 2 boards, this fence is more commonly seen in Cannon Beach.

Cedar Split Rail and Doweled wood Rail

Cedar Split rail comes in 2 rail (3 feet tall) and 3 rail (4 feet tall), the posts can also be used to make gates. Wire mesh can be added to the inside of this fence to keep pets in. The doweled fence can be used much the same but gives a farm feel where the split rail gives more of the coastal cottage feel.
